Alice in Wonderland is a film based on the popular 1865 novel written by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. The book has been portrayed in many different versions on screen, most recently it was made into a live action film starring Johnny Depp. The first film adaptation of novel was produced as a silent film in 1903, six other versions would be produced until Walt Disney Studios produced an animated version in 1951 that combined both elements of the Lewis Carol’s novel and the story Though the Looking Glass which featured Alice and some of the other characters of Wonderland. Although the film took a hit critically and in the box office in it’s first release, it is still considered to be one of Disney’s best animated features of that era.
Alice in Wonderland Trailer
Alice in Wonderland is about a girl named Alice (Voiced by Kathryn Beaumont) that falls down a rabbit hole and finds a new world known as Wonderland. In Wonderland creatures can talk, and things that would seem crazy in the real world are considered normal.. Alice meets up with the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, March Hare, Tweedledee & Teeedledum and the Cheshire Cat as they lead Alice to the garden of the Queen of Hearts where Alice will learn a lot about the crazy world of Wonderland, and what its inhabitants are all about.
Newly Discovered Pencil Test Footage from Alice in Wonderland. Alice in Wonderland is a story that is not suitable for children that have a fear of odd things. I would say it’s a safe film for children over the age of five, however it is a weird film with characters that at times can frighten young children. The film has elements in which characters are doing a lot of bizarre things such as throwing objects at one another, eating and drinking odd things and even engaging in some bizarre activities. The Queen of Hearts for example plays an odd game of croquet using flamingos as mallets, hedgehogs as balls, and card soldiers as wickets. Her “off with their heads” comments, and by trying to take off Alice’s head is also something that can frighten children. While the film is meant to be odd and entertaining, it is one that does have some frightening elements that can frighten younger viewers. So parents be warned.

Very Merry Un-Birthday Clip Alice in Wonderland is a film that is considered a Disney classic. It may not be the most popular of Disney films, but it is one of the best animated features of the 1950’s. It was also one of the first of the Disney classics to be released on home video in the early eighties. Alice in Wonderland is a classic, and while it may be a bit freaky and psychedelic in it’s nature, it may scare some younger children. It is still a very good animated classic that should be part of everyone’s Disney Blu-ray collection.
