SYNOPSIS |

|
It's very hard to describe Bunnytown unless you've seen the show on Playhouse Disney on the Disney channel. Pretty much it's a bunch of colorful bunnies that live in there own town and they simply have a lot of fun singing and dancing. There are also skits during the episodes where one bunny spies on humans doing silly human tricks or doing something silly. After the skit, the bunny laughs along with you and your children. |

VIOLENCE/GRAPHIC CONTENT/language |

|
There is not one thing that can be considered remotely graphic or violent in these episodes, and there is no bad language at all. There are some skits that play throughout the show that are kind of weird but there pretty much just silly and are there to make your little laugh. During some of the skits some of the characters trip or fall in them, as well as bunnies being sling-shoted by a rubber band finish line during a running race. But in the skits no one is seriously hurt and its all just done to bring out your children's laughter.

OVERALL VIEWS |

I watch Playhouse Disney on the Disney channel every morning with my daughter, and while I enjoy a lot of the original programming that Disney offers young children in the morning hours; Bunnytown is one of the shows that I can tolerate the most. Why you ask? Because the music is very good. While some of the skits are really out there; They have a funny element to them and are presented by news reporter Pinky Pinkerton who does the play calling for Super Silly Sports where people do silly things like a clown shoe race and a piggy back race with kids dressed like little pigs on the backs of farmers. There are also these two guys who remind me a lot of Laurel and Hardy who do these funny comedy bits that involve some illusions and magic. The Bunnies of course always seem to be singing songs that teach about sharing and friendship, but they also teach about shapes, colors and just about anything you can think about teaching a child. The DVD has four episodes on Bunnytown and also a few bonus features which include "Bunny Dance" Where you can dance with the bunnies to their original songs. There is also a game called "It's that time again" where you can help the bunnies plan out their day. Disney also went ahead and added a sneak peek feature at the upcoming Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD "Mickey's Adventures in Wonderland". I used to catch Bunnytown on a weekly basis when it was on the Disney Channel. Right now you can watch some of the episodes on the web or by buying this DVD. My daughter loves the show and she tends to dance a bit every time the bunnies sing and dance. It's a fun show with very good music and a lot of colorful sets and characters. The skits are funny and silly and you can kind of look at it as a mix between Fraggle Rock and Saturday Night Live for younger kids. It's a funny show, that also has some educational aspects to it, so your kids learn about things while enjoying the show. I highly recommend this show. I personally don't mind watching it as a parent with my daughter. The music will however get stuck in your head for weeks at a time. So take that as a fare warning parents. I'm not sure if Disney is going to put new episodes of Bunnytown of television soon; but if your child enjoyed it while it was on Playhouse Disney then this DVD is well worth picking up for them. If they have not seen it before, I'm pretty confident they will have a lot of fun watching this show on DVD.
