Disneyland was the first real amusement park to ever be built. Many people though the idea that Walt Disney had was crazy and that if he went though with the idea of building an amusement park that he would lose all that he had built in Disney Studios. Walt Disney however disagreed with his critics and built the park in Anaheim, California. This Walt Disney Treasures DVD is the story of Disneyland from it's conception on a piece of paper to the seventeen plus million dollar construction project to build the place, to opening day and beyond. This is a documentary of the history of Disneyland. We watch Walt Disney's dream become a reality in these documentaries which includes both new and old footage and interviews about the theme parks conception and the attractions within it. |

There is nothing that can deem this documentary disc set as violent or graphic in anyway. I would say the only thing that can possibility be deemed even graphic is some of the drawing concepts for some of the scary looking ghost and ghouls that were created for The Haunted Mansion, and maybe some of the animatronics without their skin may scare a young child but that's about it folks. In a nutshell folks there is nothing to worry about this is a DVD set for all ages to watch.

Out of all the three Disney Treasure DVDs that came out this month the one I was looking forward to the most was this one. I have never been to Disneyland in California but have been to Disney World at least a dozen times in my lifetime. I am a huge fan of visiting theme parks and Disney World has always been my favorite. However never being able to visit Disneyland I was still interested in it's history and how it came to be. One day in the near future I plan on visiting the park so this was a good disc to watch and learn the history of the park. I highly recommend buying or renting this DVD set especially if you plan on visiting the park with your children or by yourself. It's a great history lesson, and it's an enjoyable documentary. |
