SYNOPSIS

After school is over for the year and the summer vacation has begun, the boys and girls of East High all land jobs at the hottest place in town, The Lava Springs Country Club.  However the place is owned by Sharpay and Ryan's parents. Both of whom are spoiled rotten and will do anything to get what they want. Sharpay has Troy in her sights.  Troy however is going with Gabriella whom has been his girlfriend for a while. But Sharpay knowing that she now has to power to make things happen at the country club, she soon lore Troy into doing everything for her and her parents.  She plans for him to caddy for her mother and father and soon gets her parents interested in Troy's many accomplishments.  Troy is now being treated like gold at the Country Club and is even given a high paying job and is introduced to the basketball team of a nearby college who is looking to recruit new talent for their team.  Troy, never being one to be given anything must now decide if he wants to take advantage of his new found contacts, but at what cost?  He might just have to give up his friends to make his dreams come true.

VIOLENCE/GRAPHIC CONTENT/language

There is no violence, graphic content or bad language at all in this film.  As with most of their films Disney does a good job at keeping everything in their films innocent. Honestly folks, there is really nothing I can point out as being over the top.  However there are a few things in the film that, although innocent some parents might now want their young ones to see.  The two main characters are always trying to kiss one another but always get interrupted.  There is a scene where a bunch of young ladies are in bathing suits which some might find too revealing, but I for one didn't see them as so. There is also a few rule breaking moments and a few arguments between characters but it's nothing to bad.

OVERALL VIEWS

As a father, I would honestly feel fine with letting my children watch this film.  Some children under five might be too young to understand the story, but I'm sure they will love, and not to mention dance too the great music. The music is what makes the movie great, but it's the great dancing and outstanding chorography.  The story is actually pretty good as well.  It's no wonder kids are going crazy over the first film and this one as well.

The DVD includes a lot of new special features that were not featured in the original release of the DVD or the extended edition. The Dance Edition has a lot to offer such as a sneak peak of High School Musical 3 (It also comes with a free ticket to see High School Musical 3 in theaters.) Interactive Dance-along feature, Deleted Scenes, "All for One" music video, The Making of the Exclusive Music Scenes, Cast Favorites (Behind the scenes Featurette) On- Location Shoot, In the Kitchen Set tour, High School Confidential- Never before seen Scrapbook, and a lot more....

High School Musical 2: Dance Edition is a wonderful edition to your child's DVD collection. It's full of great music and wonderful dance numbers that you're kids will love to sing and dance along with.
