SYNOPSIS

   Meet the Robinsons is about a bright young boy named Lewis who spends most of his time inventing things in his room at the orphanage in which he lives. Lewis is not your ordinary kid, he doesn't care much for sports or playing with kids his age, all he cares about is reading book and inventing things. Most of the adoptive families that come to meet him don't really care much for him because of his intelligence.  But Lewis just keeps on moving forward and keeps inventing more new things. When the school science fair come about; Levis invents a memory machine where anyone can go back in time in their brain and see where they put a lost item or remember to go pick up the kids from baseball practice and stuff of that nature. However during the science fair Lewis encounters a young boy named Will Robinson from the future who is there to protect Lewis from the evil "Bowler Hat Guy" who wants to take Lewis's invention and pass it off as his own.  Lewis soon learns that Will and the Bowler Hat guy are from the future and came back in time machines.  The Bowler Hat Guy succeeds in robbing Lewis's invention and now it's up to Lewis and Will to stop him before he ruins the outcome of the future. Lewis and Will travel into time to stop the Bowler Hat Guy and save the future from being destroyed.

VIOLENCE/GRAPHIC CONTENT/language

   Violence

   Meet the Robinsons does have some very mild violence and it's probably not suitable for children under the age of six. While the film is rated G; there are a few scary elements in the film especially that of the "Bowler Hat Guys" bowler hat which is similar to that of Hal from 2001: A Space Odyssey and the robot machines in the Matrix films. There is also a scene in which the future is changed and the there are bowler hat monsters everywhere. There is not any kind of psychical violence in the film, but there is some pushing around and a scene that's very similar to the frog scene it ET, which takes place during the science fair. Other than that it's a film that's pretty much harmless for children to watch, but they might be a bit scared by the bowler hat.

  Graphic Content

  There is really nothing to graphic that parents need to worry about. However their is one character, a young boy whom is Lewis's roommate. He is sleep deprived and dons large bag under his eyes, there is also a scene where he drinks coffee and it's kind of hinted that he has a coffee addiction although it's never said in the film. There is also a scene that involves a dinosaur, but it's nothing to bad or scary for a child to see.

   Language

   There is no bad language used in this movie.

OVERALL VIEWS

   Overall, Meet the Robinsons is a great animated feature that I'm sure will be nominated for an Oscar come next year. One thing that I like about the film is that there really isn't any one famous voice behind the lead characters. Probably the most famous one is that of  Angela Bassett, Tom Selleck and Batman legend Adam West whom have supporting roles. The Animation is very good and the film does spark many laughs. It's an overall great film to sit down and watch with your family, and was inspired by a quote from Walt Disney himself.
