VIOLENCE/GRAPHIC CONTENT/language |

There is really not much that parents need to worry about in terms of violence, language and graphic content. There is a lot of sci-fi, fantasy type events that take place in the film involving a lot of action scenes, but nothing to be to concerned about. Mainly the worst thing about this film is the bullying that goes on in it. You have some of the characters being bullied and pushed around, at the beginning of the film two of the lead characters are dressed in cheerleading outfits and strung up on a statue of the school mascot in the schools courtyard. And nerdy kids stuffed in vending machines. Having their clothes stolen, Principals that don't listen to the real problems, that sought of thing. Really all that might be a concern is your basic high school bullying , but the way Disney perceives the bullying is usually very toned down and almost elementary in it's actions and is done more in a comical sense. There is also a scene in which the trio does steal certain things from around the high school to create their tie machine with. Language wise, words like nerd and dork, and doorknobs are thrown around in the movie but nothing to over the top.

Minute Men is a fun movie along the likes of High School Musical except with a sci-fi action element to it. There is some good music in the film, and a lot of scientific theories and such thrown around by the films smartest character. The film has a lot of different elements and plot twists, the FBI even gets involved once the boys get themselves into trouble. It's an adventure sci-fi film that good for the whole family to watch, but I'm sure it's a DVD that your kids will watch over and over again. Like all Disney films, there is a life lesson to be learned in Minute Men. This film displays many things that the kids in this film do wrong, and yet need to correct simply because it's the right thing to do. The DVD has many special features that really take you behind the scenes of the making of the film. The Disney Backstage Diary really gives you a good look about the whole process of the films conception and the great time that all the cast members had while making the film. There is also music video for the song "Run it Back Again" performed by Corbin Bleu. There are also your basic trailers for other Disney films that will be coming out on DVD and in theaters. Overall, it's a fun movie that I'm sure not only kids will enjoy, but parents as well. It is really the "Back to the Future" film for kids.
