Violence/ Graphic Content There is really no violence at all in this film. Sure there is some running around and some yelling and small potty like jokes here and there but nothing to crazy. I think there is more of a fantasy element that might scare some young children while the Buddies are in space. There is a crazy Russian Cosmonaught that wants the Buddies and his dog Sputnik to stay aboard the space station with him and he tries to trap them in a room. They do get away from him, but it's done in a comical way with the Buddies doing all kinds of troublesome ways to get away. You also have the Buddies getting into a lot of trouble here and there, such as Mudbud getting dirty and getting mud all over the house. You also have certain scenes in the film such as a meteor shower that the space shuttle flies though, and there are times where mission control loses contact with the Buddies. The films villain is very sneaky, and he happens to be a a guy named Dr. Finkel whom is a scientist who is working on the space travel project, but wants to sabotage the mission so he will be put in charge of the next project. Other than these few minor things the movie is pretty much safe for anyone to watch. Language Dr. Finkel throws out a few insults here and there, but is also made fun of by one of the kids in the film when he's called Dr. Stinkal and Dr. Feakel as well. One of the dogs always has bad gas and lets a few loose during the film as well in a joking matter and the Buddies make fun of him.

Movies like Space Buddies are made to entertain young children and give them a movie that they can just sit back and have a fun fill safe adventure with. While as a parent you may sit down and watch this one with your kids and just shake your head at how much this film is out of this world. Its really a safe movie that's meant for the kids to have fun with. It's cute, and its a DVD you should plan to be sticking around and put on repeat in the DVD player. I can see kids watching this one every day after school and not getting bored with it for a while. The movie has some pretty good production value, although some of the scenes where the Buddies are on the moon don't look like your high budget special effects. They look pretty fake, but it's good enough for the kids. There are a few familiar faces in the movie as well, such as Diedrich Bader (Both, Surf's Up), Lochlyn Munro (Daddy Day Care, Duets) and Bill Fagerbakke (TV's Coach). The movie has cute sets and neat looking costumes for the dogs and overall it's pretty well put together for a direct to DVD Disney flick. The Space Buddies DVD has a few special features which include Outtakes, "Dancing in the Monlight" music video with Disny Channel's Alyson Stoner, Two Backstage Disney features which include Disneypedia: The Buddies Guide to Space Travel, and Buddy facts. Overall, Space Buddies is another cute addition in the Buddies series of films, I'd say it's safe for all kids to watch, but probably won't really keep the attention of kids under the age of three. My Daughter who is almost two watched the first ten minutes or so, but then got bored with it and decided to go and play with her toys instead. Every now and then she'd look up when the puppies were on the screen and laugh at them but that was about it. So I think three and up is probably a suitable age for this movie.
