It is time to hero up once again! The Super Hero Squad Show: Quest for the Infinity Sword: Season One, is one of the biggest super hero shows for kids on the Cartoon Network. Shout Factory has previously released three volumes that contain several episodes of the first season and now, with the launch of the Online Super Hero Squad Game now live online, Marvel and Shout Factory have seen it fit to release Volume four, the last volume of The Super Hero Squad Show: Quest for the Infinity Sword: Season One on DVD. As with the previous discs the squad is made up of some of Marvel’s top super heroes. The team is headed by Iron Man and consists of Thor, The Hulk, Wolverine, Falcon, Reptile, Ms. Marvel, and The Silver Surfer. Other marvel heroes also lend their assistance to the team also, such as Captain America, Dr. Strange and Nick Fury. On this disc there are the six final episodes of season one. The episodes are Hexed, Vexed and Perplexed, which features Dr. Strange. The Ice Man Cometh, where Dr. Doom tries to melt the polar ice caps. Wrath of the Red Skull, where the Red Skull is thawed out by Dr. Doom and together they plan on ruining Captain America’s birthday. Mother of Doom! Dr. Doom’s mother comes to town. Last Exit Before Doomsday and The Al Dente Earth; which feature Glalactus as he tries to consume the earth. The DVD also includes an interview with Charlie Adler, the voice of Dr. Doom. As I have said in the past in my household The Super Hero Squad Show is a hit with my oldest daughter. This disc came rather un-expectantly the other day, but the timing could of not have been better, as it was the perfect treat for my daughter when earlier that day I found out she got a great review in pre-school. Most parents might think this show is best suited for children above the age of three due to some of its silly animated violence. While there is some in the cartoon it is for the most part harmless. This is a really fun cartoon that is not only for the kids to enjoy but for parents who grew up reading comic books; this is a fun show to watch as well. Volume four is a must add to your collection to complete the disc set of season one of The Super Hero Squad Show.
