SYNOPSIS |

Click Here Tigger, Pooh and Darby and the gang of the hundred acre woods all come together for a Super musical adventure. When Rabbit puts together a perfect picnic, everyone in the hundred acre woods proclaims him mayor. But Rabbit makes up some ridiculous rules that divide the forest in half. While the friends of the wood try to work out their differences, the whole movie is fun filled with a lot of musical like original songs. Think of it as a Tigger and Pooh Musical on Broadway.

While there is no graphic content or violence at all. the only thing I really can put a finger on is that Tigger's excessive bouncing causes him to hit his head of the ceiling of his house, and as always he pounces on Pooh in a friendly matter. As the newly proclaimed mayor of the hundred acre woods, Rabbit makes up this ridiculous rules that the others think are pointless and annoying. These rules seem to only benefit Rabbit and his odd obsession of keeping things neat. Other than those few little things and Rabbit yelling at everyone the movie is pretty safe for young children to watch.

I love watching this cartoon every morning with my daughter on Playhouse Disney. I always found the animation to be outstanding and the stories to be very good as they educate and teach children valuable lessons while entertaining them. While the animation on the DVD seems to be a bit more colorful and with a bit more quality to it, the story lacks some of that greatness that the television show has. My daughter really was not into it as much as she was the television show, and I think it was all the musical scores that threw her off a bit. She's only two, but I think children that are over the age of four will probably have a better attention span to watch this movie than younger kids would. I can see them getting into the music after a few viewings, where my young one got bored quick. It's not a bad movie by any means and Disney did a wonderful job with putting it together, but I just feel the television show has a better edge when it comes to a more enjoyable story for all kids. The DVD has a few bonus features which include "Rabbit's Think Think Think Theater Game" in which you and your children can create their very own play. The DVD also includes a Kenny Loggins music video for the song "Underneath the Same Sky". There is also a sing along feature in which the words are displayed on the screen for your young ones to sing along with. There is also the "Easy Play" feature and "Active Play with your Remote" feature as well. Overall, Tigger & Pooh and a Musical Too is a nice little movie, but it's not for kids under the age of three. this is more of a movie for kids ages four and over who enjoy the television show and music. The sing along feature seems like it will be a hit with kids. I for one really enjoyed the colorful animation this movie has and how great it looked on my television. If anything younger children will probably be wowed by the colors and the character more than anything else, but it's not a movie that will keep their attention very long.
