Wall-E is a robot that was left on earth to clean up our trash. The problem is Wall-E and a little cockroach seem to be the only one's left on Earth. All the other Wall-E units have stopped working and Human being have shipped out into space on what was supposed to be a five year space cruise while the Wall-E units cleaned up the planet. But centuries have passed and no humans have ever returned. Wall-E spends most of his days cleaning up junk and collecting items that he thinks are neat or useful to his existence. One day however a rocket lands on earth and releases a new robot on the planet named EVE, EVE is a life searching robot, put on earth to look for plant life to see if humans can return to earth. Fortunately for EVE; Wall-E has already found a plant growing. EVE takes the plant and then breaks down. Wall-E is not sure what is wrong with EVE, he tries to fix her but can't seem to figure out what is wrong. A few days later, the rocket returns to take EVE and Wall-E finds himself going along for the ride. They end up on a big spaceship that happens to be a cruise ship carrying humans around space. The problem is however that the robots seem to be running the ship and all the human beings are overweight, out of shape, and can't even walk. They are being lead to believe that this is what life is all eating, sleeping and having a good time. But once the captain finds out that EVE has plant, he soon learns about earth. But the auto-pilot robot has his order to destroy any sign of life on earth and keep the humans aboard the space cruiser. With the help of Wall-E and EVE the captain will need the plant in order to make the ship head back to earth. But the auto-pilot robot has other ideas. |

Violence There is really not a lot of violence in the film that can be remotely considered a threat to a child's psyche. Probably the most violent thing in the film is the laser gun that EVE uses to destroy things with and in the beginning come close to destroying Wall-E with it. There are some robot fights in the film where robots destroy one another and the captain of the the space cruise fights the auto-pilot robot and destroys his circuits. Other than that there is really nothing that can be deemed creditable enough to become a real life issue. Most of the violence is so slap stick with animated comedy it really is not such a big deal. Graphic Content Probably the worst thing that can be deemed even scary is when Wall-E accidently runs over his cockroach friend. But because cockroaches are so resilient; the cockroach is unharmed. Wall-E does pick up a bra from the garbage dump and put it over his eyes, and him and EVE also cuddle and kiss one another in a way that only robots can. There are also robot fights that I mentioned above, but they do rip each other parts off in some scenes. There is also a scene in which Wall-E almost get's blown up when a space pod self destructs. He also is almost burned up by the rocket's blasters when it lands on earth and is also almost blown away in sand storms. Wall-E is also very clumsy and sometimes falls and flies into walls and in one scene is even overcome by a bunch of shopping carts. Also I would like to point out that the human beings in the film are almost treated like slaves on the ship and are kept over weight, with their eyes glued on portable televisions that travel with them in their portable chairs. they are also constantly feed fatty foods to keep them overweight. So be warned that human beings in this film are not normal, but toward the end of the film they learn to walk and evolve back to their normal state.
Language There is no bad language in this film at all. Maybe a few robot insults but that's about it.

OVERALL VIEWS |

Wall-E is in my mind the best animated film ever made. After watching the behind the scenes footage on the disc and seeing all the hard work that the filmmakers and animators put into making this film, it's no wonder that the animation in this movie is unlike any other animated movie ever made. While watching this movie I sometimes couldn't tell is the movie was animated or real. That's how great the animation looks in this movie. Every little thing about Wall-E is so detailed, even the films score and lighting are put together so well that I'm more than willing to go out on a limb and say that I think this movie is going to run away with best animated film at the 2009 Academy Awards, and hey; who knows? It can even end up winning best picture. There is no actors in this movie, and there is barely any dialogue. The whole story is pretty much told though it's action. It's very well directed and like I said above the animation is so detailed that it just drags you into the film. Wall-E may bore some younger children because it is more of a silent movie and even though it does have some mild action packed animated content I think that younger children above the age of four will be able to watch it with no problems. It's a perfect movie for the whole family to watch together and something tells me that it's going to be under a lot of Christmas trees come this December. The Wall-E 3 disc special edition DVD is packed with many features. Not only does it come with the movie which the picture looks out of this world on even the smallest of televisions, but it also comes with a digital copy of the film for your computer or iPod. Disney also created a DVD box that opens up very similar to the way Wall-E opens up himself to compact garbage. It's a box that is also packed with some other goodies inside beside the DVD. The DVD features that are included in this set are "Burn-E" a new animated short film and "Presto" another animated short. a sneak peak at Wall-E's tour of the universe which you can access on the Wall-E website. Audio commentary with Director Andrew Stanton, A Animation Sound Design featurette that treats us to the sound effects that were used on the film and how they were conceived. There are a ton of behind the scenes featurettes on the second disc that tell the whole story of how Wall-E was made and even let us know about the first concepts of the film where the human characters were at first actually blob aliens. There is also additional deleted scenes, Wall-E Treasures and Trinkets - Hilarious Moments. The Pixar Story tells the story behind the award winning company. BnL shorts, which tells the inside story of the company in the movie. a Storyboard feature. and a lot more. Overall, Wall-E is a must see movie for all fans of Disney and Pixar films. It is by far one of if not the best animated movie ever made and the 3-disc special edition DVD is the way to go if you plan on buying the movie for yourself, a friend or a loved one. This is by far one of Walt Disney home Entertainments best discs and well worth buying.
